Logy is a suffix denoting “study” and “theory”. On their website, they said, “Our cuisine celebrates Asian diversity through the lens of our Japanese and Taiwanese heritage. We create new culinary experiences by respectfully combining ingredients, techniques, and traditions inherited from each culture.”
They only have one tasting menu, which costs 4,750 NT$ per person. All of the dishes are a fusion of Japanese and Taiwanese cultures.
One of my most memorable dishes is when the server brings out a pot of rice to the table, and they serve it with the Japanese beef. They have put Taiwanese tea leaves into the rice when cooking it. The smell is phenomenal, and pairs so well with the meat.
Also, Japanese caramel fried eel served with pepper oil and mushroom broth, the spicy broth, the crispy sweetness of the caramel, the sweetness of the chocolate cheese sauce, and the bitter vegetables, the layers of flavor rise and fall, reaching the pinnacle
of the set.
Logy recently relocated to a new site that can accommodate more guests, and the new space is more spacious and relaxing compared to the old site. They pay attention to detail. There are so many small details to make this an extraordinary dining experience. When walking inside, it feels like another world, when the sun shone brightly outside in the blazing summer. Inside, the atmosphere is elegant, with all the curtains shut, letting no light come through.
The review is primarily positive, talking about the exceptional service that Logy has, and how they enjoy the pairing, especially the non-alcoholic pairing, which pairs very well with the food they serve, with the few exceptions. Those who rated lower for the review state that although Logy is a good restaurant, the difficulty in getting a reservation at Logy did not meet their expectation.
