After sitting in a resting area the waiter will guide you to the main dining area. The menu on the table resembles a traditional children’s game and a paper fortune teller called East, South, West, North. The menu has a dish on 8 sides on the front of the paper , and if you take a closer look on the other side of the paper, you will notice ”Birds Eye View of Taihoku City” which is the map of Taipei during the Showa era.

The course had interesting things including a story that a lot of people from Taiwan can relate to like a dish “Mud” which used stinky tofu as one of the side dish and the course is inspire by the typhoon in Taiwan which the water and the mud will destroy the crops, it was made of pork,  cabbage, and stinky tofu and it was cover in sesame seed, but the most memorable experience is picking knife, the knife is not come from a famous brand nor inspire by famous restaurant, but they chose “Shilin Knife”, which not a lot of people use it now. It has a manufacturing history of more than a hundred years locally in Taiwan. This knife can be folded and is easy to carry and is very versatile. It was a memorable experience to cut a duck using this weirdly shaped knife.
